Learning to play

So you want to learn how to play piano songs? Well, first I have to say congratulations! This is the first step towards your learning journey and more importantly, your drive to continue to want to learn through the years. Now, don't be frightened about the years, it's not going to take you that long to learn how to play.

How far you want to take it is up to you, but for right now I am assuming that you want to start of with the basics to get you to the point to where you can at least play the piano casually.

With that being said, my little one being the youngest of three children does have a love for music. Not just listening, but learning. She has done chorus in school for many years, and has also learned how to play the flute. Now, I believe that if you learn on an instrument, and learn the basics and maybe excel to advanced, this will help you in developing your skills to learn how to play another instrument.

Another thing that you don't have to stress about, is having a full size piano. If you do, than that is great. But if you don't, an electronic keyboard will do just as fine. I know I can't fit a full size piano in my home! The keyboard will give you some cool sounds to play too, if you wanted to experiment. The best way that you are going to learn how to play is to learn how to play piano songs. You may ask yourself, isn't that the reason to learn, is to play piano songs? Yes, but the ones that are your favorite songs you are going to learn. This will make it fun and enjoyable to practice. This will increase your ability to learn how to play.

My thirteen year old can now play songs on the piano. Sorry, keyboard. By following a simple outlined course that has brought  her to a level to where she feels comfortable and and sure of herself when she plays.
